The Battle of Grol – De Slag om Grolle

In October, the ninth edition of the three-day Eighty Years’ War event, the Battle of Grol, will take place in Groenlo, NL.

The Battle of Grolle of 1627 (there were several) is reenacted by over 1500 re-enactors of 18 different nationalities in three phases, a different version every afternoon, but also about 100 traders and artisans make Groenlo the Grolle of 1627.

From the website:

Grolle is completely transformed into a 17th century town, with city groups and re-enactors who take you as a visitor back in time. Traders, old crafts, games, drinks and snacks. With the re-enactment of the battles on the battlefield as the icing on the cake!

You can now book tickets for this event on October 25, 26, 27, 2024, at www.slagomgrolle.nl
